||The project aims to improve food security and living conditions for war affected Syrians in Turkey by providing cash assistance. Vulnerable Syrians receive 87 Turkish Lira (about 21 EUR) (105 Turkish Lira in the second cycle) [about 25 EUR] monthly on a cash card enabling them to purchase food and other basic items in designated markets. In the Turkish border town of Kilis, Cash for Work (CfW) activities will enable vulnerable Syrians to substitute their income. In a second project component, Welthungerhilfe (WHH) provides individual support to particularly vulnerable Syrians such as disabled persons, or female-headed households in order to overcome crises caused by the effects of war and displacement. On a monthly basis, approximately 100 individuals benefit from these services.
