Project description: The objective of the project is to ease tensions, improve integration and strengthen social cohesion between Syrian and Turkish communities through the support of community centres in Istanbul and Mardin. This project aims at providing legal and psychosocial support services, skills development and activities that foster social cohesion, intercultural activities for Syrians and the Turkish host community. In each community centre, women, men, children, youth, babies and the elderly are met with a range of services to help them adjust, adapt and personally advance. Psycho-social counselling is offered at all centres. Other activities include community events such as picnics, theatre trips, kite flying or sport tournaments.
