Economic Development

The purpose of economic development is to build up the economic capacity to improve the economic future and the quality of life for people participating in these activities. It is a process by which local authorities, the private and not-for-profit sectors and local communities work collectively to create better conditions for economic growth and employment generation.

Skills Development

In Turkey Welthungerhilfe will empower Syrian and non-Syrian refugees as well as host communities to sustain their livelihoods through economic activities. Through the provision of language, numeracy and literacy seminars the attendees will develop their skills to be able to be competitive on the job market. Additionally, more specialised services such as vocational training will be offered for selected individuals.
