Our vision

Zero Hunger by 2030

A world in which everyone has the chance to claim the right to an independent life with dignity and justice, free from hunger and poverty.  We fight against global hunger and for sustainable food security. This includes promoting site-oriented agriculture, access to clean water, environmentally friendly energy supplies and improving health and education. In this regard, Welthungerhilfe (WHH) and its partners within the framework of our Syrian Crisis Response Program are committed to being competent, efficient and effective actors, of delivering humanitarian aid to most vulnerable war effected Syrians and of strengthening integration and self-reliance of beneficiaries in urban, rural and camp settings.

Our principle: Helping people to help themselves

Our aim is to improve people’s lives sustainably in the long term. We work using the principle of “help for self-help”.
Our actions are guided by the conviction that all people are equal in value, they have inalienable rights, and they should be able to control their own lives.  Our actions are intended to improve the prospects of present and future generations, in a healthy environment and a fair society.
